Who? Student teachers needing practical experience; teachers wanting a sabbatical; students needing community service hours; gap students; anyone with an open heart and an open mind.

Where? Work with our partner schools in township areas of Mpumalanga (“the land where the sun rises”) in north-eastern South Africa.  These schools face many challenges, from large classes and inadequate facilities, to lack of water, poverty-stricken communities and a growing number of orphans and vulnerable children. Your help is welcomed in the classroom, on the sports field and with extra-mural activities.

Where will I live? Stay with a host family, experience colourful township life and immerse yourself in a different culture.  Or we can arrange for you to stay at a guest lodge or backpackers.

What will I do in my spare time? You will be living in an area rich in adventure and wilderness opportunities.  We will set up all your excursions and safaris to best take advantage of our proximity to the Kruger National Park.
